Contact
If you have any general questions or inquiries regarding shipping, please feel free to contact our shop manager, Irena, at meow@catsonwords.com. We are more than happy to assist you in English, Russian, Spanish and German.

Payment
We currently accept Paypal, Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, American Express, UnionPay, Klarna, SOFORT Banking (DIRECTebanking), Bancontact, eps-Überweisung, Ideal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay payments.

Customs
We adhere to all tax and customs regulations. For international orders, we will provide all the necessary paperwork, including shipping invoices, to ensure compliance. In most cases, this is enough to prevent customs fees. However, please be aware that certain countries impose import VAT or sales tax. Any applicable customs fees, VAT, or sales taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

Order & Shipping Confirmation
You will receive an order confirmation via email once you have placed your order. Upon shipment of your order, we will send you a shipping confirmation email containing the tracking number and invoice.

Shipping
We do not offer free shipping because technically free shipping doesn’t exist. Shipping always involves the transportation of goods, packaging materials, CO2 emissions and labor. We believe it is important to be aware of this cycle and take steps towards a more sustainable future.

All artworks are shipped directly from our studio in Frankfurt, Germany. Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of the package and the shipping location. The costs will be calculated individually at checkout. Our aim is to ship all orders once a week. Delivery times may vary depending on your location.

If you have any questions regarding shipping, please contact our shop manager, Irena, at meow@catsonwords.com.

Please note: If you are unable to proceed with the checkout process because your country of residence is missing in the dropdown menu, it is likely that the shipping costs are significantly high and disproportionate to the products themselves. However, please feel free to contact our shop manager, Irena, for assistance in finding a solution.

Packaging
Each artwork is individually and securely packed with multiple protective layers. Most prints are shipped flat, while larger formats are packed in cardboard tubes. All packaging materials used prioritize sustainability. The majority of our packaging is made from recycled paper materials, FSC® certified, unbleached, and free from any kind of plastics.

Unpacking, Handling & Storage
As soon as you receive the artwork, please check if everything arrived in good condition. If the package has been damaged during shipment, please notify us immediately and take pictures to document the damages. Delayed communication may result in forfeiting the insurance claim.

When unpacking the artwork, please ensure that you wash your hands or wear cotton or surgical gloves before touching the paper. The oils and contaminants on your hands can potentially damage the print and leave marks on the paper. Exercise caution when lifting the print, using opposite corners. Due to the sensitivity of the inks, refrain from touching the image area of the print.

Unpack your artwork on a clean surface to avoid stains, scratches, or bends. If your print comes in a cardboard tube, please unpack the artwork as soon as possible. Open the tube, remove the filling material, and carefully pull out the rolled artwork. Unroll it on a flat and clean surface, allowing it to slowly unfold within its protective cover. Additionally, please avoid storing it for longer than one week.

The safest option is to frame the prints as soon as possible. When storing the print, always keep it unrolled in a horizontal position and in the protective cover it came with. It's important to note that two prints should never be stored in direct contact facing each other. Instead, separate them by placing a clean sheet of paper in between.

Framing
Since the safe shipping of glass frames is prohibitively expensive, we only offer unframed artwork.

Return
We want you to be completely satisfied and excited about your artwork. If, for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you can return the artwork within 14 days after receiving the shipment. To initiate the return process, please send an email to meow@catsonwords.com to inform us of your decision.

It is important to ensure that the print is returned in its original packaging and in undamaged condition using the same shipping company as the initial shipment. Please remember to declare it as a “return of goods” to facilitate the return process without incurring any import taxes or customs fees.

If you decide to withdraw from your contract, Studio Cats On Words will refund all payments received from you, including the original delivery costs. However, you will be responsible for covering the direct cost of returning the artwork.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us via email.

Pricing
To make our prints more accessible to a wider audience, we offer competitive starting prices that provide an advantage for early buyers. Our limited and signed editions have the potential to sell out over time and increase in value. As the first half of an edition is sold, the price rises, and if only a few copies of that edition remain, the price increases once again. This creates an opportunity for collectors to invest in our prints and potentially see their value appreciate.

Originality
All artworks are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, providing conclusive evidence of their genuineness and authenticity. This certificate is personally signed by Cats On Words and features a holographic security sticker, along with comprehensive details about the artwork. It serves as a crucial tool in preventing counterfeits and ensuring the integrity of the piece. When acquiring a Cats On Words artwork on the secondary art market, it is essential to verify the presence of the Certificate of Authenticity to guarantee its legitimacy.
